Ellen Stebbins, ECEW President

Ellen Stebbins is the founder of EllenStebbins.com, a web-based business that empowers men and women to reach their full potential through personal development, income diversification and social media.

Ellen’s diverse skills are an invaluable asset to any individual with a desire to create the next level of growth. Her impressive background includes eleven years as a Certified Financial Planner and Assistant Vice President with Merrill Lynch in Boston. She is an accomplished social media expert and strategist, a Certified Life Coach as well as an independent business owner of the fastest growing all-natural health product in the world, Qivana.

In 2009, she launched her acclaimed online course Facebook and Twitter Marketing Made Simple to give entrepreneurs an understanding of why social media is critical to business success and to provide individuals with strategies to position themselves as an expert in their respective field.

Ellen donates her time to various charitable organizations and currently serves as the President of East Cooper Entrepreneurial Women (ECEW), a non-profit organization serving professional women throughout the Charleston, SC community.

Ellen has 2 children. Her son Jackson is 8 years old and her daughter Reese is 6 years old.

Phyllis Sheffer, ECEW Vice President

Phylli Phlops & Charleston Lawn and Gardens

Phyllis Sheffer is a graduate from The University of Tennessee (Business Administration) and former owner of one of the largest Food Brokerage companies in the country.  Phyllis is also a retired Executive from The Pillsbury Company where she managed a sales team, implemented category management plans and efficient assortments and unsaleable policies and was responsible for over $20.3 million in annual sales.

Phyllis was also the Education Manager for The Pepsi Bottling Group and was responsible for creating and presenting contracts for Healthy Refreshment Beverages in  schools K-12 and Universities including The University of Tennessee, East Tennessee University  and Middle Tennessee State University.

Phyllis is currently the Sales Manager for Charleston Lawn and Gardens and Co-Owner of Phylli Phlops.  Phyllis is an avid hiker (hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro and Base Camp Everest), enjoys biking and has a 2nd Degree Black Belt.  Phyllis is a widow and has one son Jason Bell.

Linda Witte, ECEW Secretary

Linda and four other partners brought the first Keller Williams real estate franchise to the Charleston area in April 2005. Today they have three offices (Mt Pleasant, West Ashley and North Charleston, two business centers and 300 active agents. She has lived in the tri-county area since 1971 and been “Opening Doors” for families in the Charleston area for over 23 years. Linda is the current Charleston Trident Association of Realtors Multiple Listing President and well as a State Director for the South Carolina Realtors.

Volunteering has been a natural part of her life from a term as PTA President to chairing the House Tour committee for her church women’s group as well as numerous community organizations including the Junior League of Charleston.

She (aka LuLu) is the proud mother of two daughters who live locally and three “extraordinary” grandchildren. In her free time Linda enjoys time at the gym, gardening, movies and “shopping.”

Christie Hodge, ECEW Treasurer

Christie Hodge is the Owner of CMH Accounting & Tax Services, LLC, started in 2006, specializing in small business bookkeeping, tax planning and preparation, as well as, individual tax preparation. She is also a Financial Advisor for 360 Financial Partners.

Christie was born in Charleston and raised in Mt Pleasant. She attended Bishop England High School and then went on to the University of South Carolina, Darla Moore School of Business in Columbia where she double majored in Management and Finance. Christie also attended the Universal Accounting School where she achieved her Professional Bookkeeper and Tax preparer designations. Christie has her General Securities Representative, Series 7, License and Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License. Prior to this, she was employed by Merrill Lynch for 4 years as a Client Associate.

Christie currently lives in Mt. Pleasant and runs her business from home. All of her free time is spent with her 2 year old son, Jackson, husband, Kip, family and friends.
